The world of Thyrion lies enslaved beneath the cruel dominion of the Serpent Riders, a trio of monstrous overlords. In earlier struggles, two of the three brothers were struck down and their conquered worlds freed, but the greatest threat still remains. Eidolon, the oldest and most powerful of the Serpent Riders, now rules over Thyrion, and only his defeat can break the chains binding the land. Eidolon does not stand alone: he is served by four dreaded generals, dark reflections of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, each holding sway over a different continent steeped in its own distinct culture and peril. Taking up the role of one of four mighty heroes, the player must journey across these far-flung realms, vanquish each of the generals in turn, and finally descend into Eidolon's own stronghold for a climactic reckoning.
