About upcoming-games.org
A release calendar should answer one question fast: what's coming, and when? Most don't. They bury the calendar under ads, autoplaying trailers and editorial modules, and they blur the line between a confirmed date and a vague guess. This site is a deliberate alternative: quick to load, calm to read, and honest about dates.
What makes it different
- Speed first. Server-rendered, edge-cached HTML with almost no JavaScript. No ad or tracking scripts.
- Honest dates. Every game is labelled Confirmed, Window (e.g. “Q4 2026”) or TBA, never dressed up as something firmer than it is.
- Real filtering. Multi-select platform and genre filters plus date windows, all instant and shareable via the URL.
- Built for everyone. Full keyboard support, screen-reader announcements, a no-flash dark mode and a mobile-first layout.
Where the data comes from
Live release data comes from IGDB, the Internet Game Database. When the site is running without API credentials it shows a small bundled sample dataset instead (look for the “Sample data” badge in the footer) so the experience is fully browsable. Sample dates are illustrative and roll relative to today. They are not authoritative release dates.
Dates wrong or missing?
Release dates change constantly. When connected to IGDB, corrections flow in automatically as the database updates. Back to the calendar →
